On Fridays Morning Focus; Marian began by speaking to Ennis based solicitor William Cahir about the tapping of phone calls in Garda stations will impact legal cases.  It comes as a solicitor is to seek a review of John Dundon's conviction for murdering Limerick rugby player Shane Geoghegan, in light of revelations that gardaí were recording phone calls in and out of garda stations.  Solicitor John Devane is seeking reviews of a number of rape and murder convictions.  John Devane says, arising out of the taping scandal, he believes reviews are needed in a number of high profile Limerick cases, including Mr Dundon's.

Up next Marian was joined in studio by Joe Grace Organ Recipient and Peggy Eustace Treasurer of the Clare Branch of the Irish Kidney Association.  Three lives can be saved by just one organ donor.  That's the message from the Irish Kidney Association as Organ Donor Awareness kicks off from Saturday.  The group is calling on people, not only to carry a donor card, but also to speak with their families, so that their wishes regarding organ donation are known.  Joe is a young Dad that had been on dialysis for a long time before he had his transplant had about 2 years ago.  He spoke to Marian about how his life has changed over the years.

Labour is to run a second candidate in Ennis in May's local elections.Prominent disabilities campaigner Dermot Hayes has been added to their ticket, alongside Moy native Seamus Ryan.  Pascal Fitzgerald and Tony McMahon have already been selected to run in the Shannon electoral area, while the party has told Clare FM that it is still speaking to possible candidates in West Clare and Killaloe.  Dermot spoke to Marian about his nomination and his political aspirations. 

In our Morning Focus Health Matters slot Marian spoke to Dr Finn from the Ennis Family Medical Centre about this week's topic Asthma.  Dr. Finn answered all our listeners' queries. 

Stephen Roche, World Champion cyclist joined Marian on the phone to talk about his plans to cycle around Clare this weekend.  The Stephen Roche Atlantic Challenge is an annual cycling Sportif, with the former Tour de France winner, Giro d'Italia winner and World Champion cyclist, Stephen Roche.  The cycle starts and finishes on the stunning beach promenade in Lahinch. From the rolling hills of the Burren and the wild Atlantic Coast, the location, the route, the scenery are all breath taking and include the climbs of the famous Cliffs of Moher and Corkscrew Hill.

Finally Bernard Keane spoke to Marian about the Club Clare Mount Callen Walk. The walk takes place tomorrow – Saturday.  This is the 3rd year the event is in place and they are raising money for Clare's county GAA teams.  They beauty of this is that you can select where your money goes when you donate. If you want your 20 euro to go to the county senior hurlers then that's where it goes!!  The organisers are asking people to gather at 10.30 so everyone can set off at 11.  It's a family event meaning the walk is suitable for all ages and ability.  Refreshments afterwards for all involved.
