Palliative care is an approach that improves the quality of life of people facing the problems associated with life-limiting illness and supports their families.The palliative care approach focuses on the prevention and relief of suffering by means of assessing and treating pain and other physical, psychosocial or spiritual problems. Pat Quinlan, CEO of Milford Care Centre and Leonara Carey,Occupational Therapist Manager with the Milford Care Centre joined John to talk about expansion plans at the centre.

The family of former Clare TD Sylvie Barrett have said they were shocked and hurt by allegations that he held bank accounts linked with tax evasion. Following the disclosure of names contained in a whistleblower dossier in the Dail, the Barrett Family have told Clare FM that the former Fianna Fail Minister and MEP never had a bank account with Guiness and Mahon or Ansbacher.There's been much political criticism of Sinn Fein's Mary Lou McDonald who included the name  "S. Barrett" in the list read out under Dail Privilege, with some describing it as another political stunt. The late Sylvie Barrett's son Tom gave his reaction to John.

Geraldine Clancy of Mid West Simon spoke with John about the new food bank initiative in Kilrush and the homelessness situation in the mid west. The issue of homelessness was again highlighted this week following the death of a homeless man Jonathan Corrie outside the Dail, an emergency homeless forum was held last night to discuss the problem with members of the government and those organisations involved in the fight against homelessness.

Our Friday panel joined us to look back at the weeks main events, this weeks panel included. Ger O’Halloran  of the Abbey Stores, Clare Gallagher journalist with the Clare People and Roisin Garvey Green schools travel education officer RE Taisce. Some of the topics the panel debated were homelessness, ambulance service Issues, Mary Lou NcDonald and Ansbacher Accounts , this weeks teachers strike and the  predestination of Ennis

As part of look at events happening around the county this weekend  we spoke with  Laura O’Connor Lights of love . A remembrance service this Sunday for those who have lost babies & infants in the cathedral at 4pm and  Oprah singer Regina Nathan loined us in studio for a chat and performance ahead of  her concert this Saturday  6th December at 8.00 p.m. in St. Columba's Church of Ireland, Bindon Street, Ennis.
