Ennis couple Jill Leonard and Adrian O’Connor welcomed their new son Kane into the world last Friday
When Jill was in the delivery room at the Midwestern Maternity Hospital Limerick giving birth to her new 9lb 6oz baby, her purse and smart phone were stolen from her room

On Friday’s Morning Focus John Cooke spoke with Jill and Adrian about the experience.

A Charity Ride and Drive in Aid of the Mid Western Cancer Centre take place on Saturday with all proceeds raised will go towards the Cancer Centre
A convoy of horses, ponies and their riders, led by a horse drawn carriage will leave the show grounds Ennis and travel to the Limerick Grey hound Stadium
The Mid Western Cancer Foundation was set in 2007 by Prof Gupta, it’s located on the grounds of Limerick University Hospital and carers for cancer patients in the Midwest

The Scariff Show is taking place tomorrow – beginning at 10am
Eamonn Fennessy, Secretary of The Scariff Show Society, explained that there are a few new jumping events on this year that they are excited about and their entires are strong this year so they anticipant a good crowd.

This Sunday is Victorian Day in Kilkee 
The Kilkee Civic Trust’s road train will embark on a tour of Victorian Kilkee after a barbershop quartet performed by members of the Crack’d Spoon Theatre at the Kilkee Bay Hotel at 3pm
Victorian attire will ensure admission to the tour and a picnic at the Kilkee Band Stand will end proceedings as Rob Hopkins of Crack’d Spoon Theatre explained.
