Today President Michael D Higgins will become a freeman of Ennis at a ceremony in the town council offices
A Civic Reception in honour of President of Ireland, Michael D. Higgins, will be held in the Civic Room, Ennis Town Council, Drumbiggle at 12 noon today
During this reception the Honorary Freedom of the Town of Ennis will be conferred on President Higgins who will become only the second individual to receive the honour after Muhammad Ali
