Clare’s Senior Hurlers take on Cork in the All Ireland final replay tomorrow afternoon in Croke Park

On Friday’s Morning Focus John Cooke was joined in studio by former Clare hurler and Team of the Eighties member John Callinan and Mark Landers, former Cork Senior Hurling Captain and Frank Lohan, former Clare Hurling great to discuss tomorrow’s game and predict how it’s going to go.

Ennis Town Manager Ger Dollard joined John in studio with details of the Homecoming for the Clare Senior Hurlers and the U21s
A joint homecoming celebration for the Clare U21 and Senior Hurling teams will take place on Sunday at Active Ennis Tim Smythe Park (Fairgreen) – planned activities include music and other entertainment.

‘The Banner’s Road to Croker’ – the song he penned for Clare’s All Ireland Final campaign went viral and now- about a month after it went up on the website- it has had over 90,000 hits
Noel joined John in studio to play his song.

Syl O’Connor and Niall Gilligan’s commentary and analysis went viral after the final on Sept 8th
Former hurler Niall had a chat with John ahead of the replay and spoke about how he feels and getting through the final without swearing!

We took a trip around the county to gauge the excitement and anticipation and get well wishes for the team
John spoke with Christine O’Doherty in Crusheen, Sean McNamara of Ballyea Hurling Club, Concepta O’Connor of Newmarket on Fergus, Joe Gorman, Chairman of O’Callaghan’s Mills Club and Brian Torpey, Chairman of Tulla GAA Club.

Declan Clancy from Lissycasey and Ruairi Henchy from Clooney joined John in studio for a chat and played us out with their tune ‘Whipping Boys No More’
