Ennis General manager Frank Keane is to depart the hospital From today, and take up his new role as head of maternity and child health for all hospitals across the Midwest
This new single hospital management system for the Midwest leaves uncertainty as to who is directly responsible for the county hospital, and it’s future development
The HSE has also confirmed to Clare FM that the hospital’s High Dependency Unit remains closed, as it has been since before Christmas, citing difficulties in securing the necessary staff

On Monday’s Morning Focus John Cooke was joined by Frank Keane, Former Manager of Ennis General Hospital, to discuss the changes.
