Kevin McGillicuddy of Clare FM Sport joined John in studio to take a look back on the football and hurling matches of the weekend
On Saturday evening a 14 man Clare side defied the odds to defeat  Dublin by 1-16 to 0-16 in Cusack park
The home side trailed by 11 points to 7 at the break and were reduced to 14 men after Nicky O Connell received his second yellow card just one minute into the second half
However the red card spurred Clare on and when Tony Kelly’s 21 metre free on 53 minutes hit the back of the Dublin net  Clare led by two points
Further points from Sean Collins, Conor McGrath and the final score from John Conlon helped Clare to their first championship win in four years and sets up a meeting with Limerick next weekend
Clare football manager Michael McDermott has called on his players to bounce back from their 3-16 to 0-13 loss to Cork in yesterday’s Munster Final
The Banner now face the back door and will find out their opponents next week
Also, Galway were crowned Leinster Hurling Champions for the first time yesterday after a surprise 2-21 to 2-11 win over Kilkenny at Croke Park.
