Dr Allan Mee of the Golden Eagles Trust spoke about the eagles and the importance of this conservation project,
Whitegate Councillor Pat Burke spoke about the reaction to the birds locally and plans to market them for tourism gain. 

The Irish Times today reveals that Loop Head peninsula has beaten off strong competition from over 1,400 entries from all over Ireland to make the final five in The Irish Times Best Place to Holiday in Ireland competition
