On Thursday's Morning Focus; John Cooke spoke to Bernard Purcell Editor of The Irish World in London about The Northern Ireland's First Minister Peter Robinson is threatening to resign unless there's a judicial review after the prosecution of Hyde Park bombing suspect and Kilrush man John Downey collapsed.4 soldiers died in the IRA attack in London in 1982.  The West Clare native avoided prosecution because of a letter guaranteeing him that he wasn't being sought by UK police over the attack.

Up next Michael Cawley, Ryanair's Chief Operating Officer and Deputy Chief Executive spoke to John.  He attended a business breakfast at Dromoland Castle and was the keynote speaker.  Mr Cawley said: "As Ireland's favourite airline, Ryanair is committed to growing traffic, routes and jobs at Shannon and we are pleased to deliver 9 new routes this summer and 300,000 additional passengers, which will support 300 new on-site jobs at Shannon Airport.

Adrian Kelly Clare's Chief fire officer spoke to John about an accident on the M18.  Both sections of motorway are closed, and emergency services are at the scene of separate accidents on the North and South bound carriageways of the M18.Gardai advise traffic going southbound to leave the motorway at Dromoland and re-join at Shannon

Mairead Collins attended the 'Check It Fits' road-show.   As we heard yesterday Four out of five child car seats in County Clare may not be correctly fitted.  The worrying claim comes from the Road Safety authority who is urging parents to ensure children are safely fastened while travelling by car.  We heard her follow one family through the 'check it fits' process.  Paul Kealy Child Car Seat Installation Expert also joined John to answer listener questions. 

Next Garett Daly Director of 'A Nightingale Falling', based on the novel by Clare man PJ Curtis, is a new historical drama set against the backdrop of a turbulent, war-torn Ireland in the early 1920's.  The film stars Tara Breathnach, Muireann Bird and Gerard McCarthy, Elliot Moriarty, Brian Fortune, Andy Kellegher, Rose Henderson, Michael James Ford, Blathnaid Ryan and Mark Tankersley.  'A Nightingale Falling' is a story of a household and its inhabitants caught in the crucible of the merciless politics, cruelties and hardships of the period. It is also a story of love, and the dark secrets that lead to broken hearts.  A Nightingale Falling was filmed in Daingean over the course of last summer and is currently in post production.  The crew from Mixed Bag Media and cast have been invited as guests on the Green carpet at a major pre-Oscar event – the Oscar Wilde. Director Garett Daly had a chat with John and he says they're delighted with the opportunity to take the movie stateside.
