Morning Focus Thursday 29th May

On Thursdays Morning Focus Marian began by speaking to Niall Shanahan IMPACT Communications Officer as staff threatening to strike at Aer Lingus say it's too late to call it off.  They're set to walk off the job at Shannon, Dublin and Cork on  Friday in a long-running row over rosters.  Mr Shanahan told Marian that IMPACT has accepted the airline's offer to talk, but a time and place hasn't been set.

Up next Marian was joined in studio by our 3 incoming female councillors in Clare, Mary Howard of Fine Gael, Ann Norton, Independent and Clare Colleran-Molloy of Fianna Fail.  This is the first time since 1999 that Clare has had 3 females elected.  All three spoke to Marian about women in Politics.
