8 Clare Garda stations are among 95 stations nationwide which will close their doors today as part of budget cutbacks
The Clare Garda stations are Quin, Inagh, Broadford, Mountshannon, Doonbeg, Kilmihil, Lahinch and Labasheeda
It’s also been announced that the current number of four Garda Districts in the Clare Garda Division will fall to two

World Renowned Ennis Folk Singer and two-times Grammy Nominee Maura O’Connell is home from Nashville and performed at the Temple Bar Trad Fest last weekend
She popped in for a chat speaking about her views on the Gathering 2013, Fleadh Disappointment for Ennis, and plans for this year
Maura also gifted us with some songs performing "The Shades of Gloria"
She was joined by John Mock, Guitarist from Connecticut, USA who is accompanying Maura – and looking for his Irish Roots!
Also joined her was Don Johnson, a base Guitarist from California – together they performed "A Far Cry"
