Today’s Morning Focus was the final live debate as part of Clare FM's Local Election Countdown 2014. The West Clare area debate saw 16 candidates debate the most pressing issues affecting Clare residents.

All questions posed to the candidates were compiled from letters, emails, text messages and calls from Clare FM listeners in the run up to the debate.

Today’s debate topics included water charges, household charges, the new municipal areas and storm damage.  Other issues raised included jobs and unemployment and rural isolation and crime. 

The 16 candidates will fight it out for 8 seats.
