IFA President Eddie Downey has called a countrywide 24-hour beef price protest by farmers outside all meat factories from 3pm next Monday 27th October until Tuesday afternoon. He said farmer anger with the meat factories has boiled over with the massive €350 per head cattle price gap now opened up with our main export market in the UK. Andrew joined John from the protest in Nenagh to discuss the main issues concerning his organisation.

Green Party leader Eamon Ryan says Ireland needs to take radical action against emissions, rather than try to get special deals.If we;re really serious about trading under this green brand, if we're really serious being an island which is going to go out to the rest of the world and say 'our products are lower emission' then we have to do it in reality" he said. The leader of the Green spoke with John about the issue and the need for a referendum to protect Irish water from ever being privatised.

Shannon Chamber has linked up with Labour Relations Commission chief executive Kieran Mulvey to outline the impact of the recently published Workplace Relations Bill on business. The Workplace Relations Bill will introduce significant changes to the State's employment appeals and dispute resolution services and institutions.
