On Tuesday’s Morning Focus John Cooke was joined in studio by Flan Garvey, former Mayor of Clare and Chairman Tralee IT to discuss plagarism investigations on his Masters thesis.

The former Mayor of Clare has been cleared of wrongdoing after the Institute of Technology found part of his masters thesis was copied, but not intentionally
However questions are now being raised about quality assurance procedures involved in the awarding of his and other degrees
The way in which postgraduate degrees are awarded by the IT in Tralee is up for review following the recent investigations involving Flan Garvey.
