On Wednesday’s Morning Focus Marian Egan spoke with Jan O’Sullivan, Minister of State for Housing and Planning about the issue of property tax and unfinished housing estates in the county 

Clare County Council has 63 unfinished Housing Estates according to the Department of the Environment.

The tourism industry in Clare joined Fáilte Ireland in a comprehensive programme of sales activity in the USA last week
The sales mission’s aim is to support the new transatlantic air services from Philadelphia and Chicago into Shannon Airport this summer

There have been some archaeological discoveries including a seaweed farm  on Aughinish Island and the coastal area between Ballyvaughan and Kinvara
Connemara based archaeologist Michael Gibbons had a word with Marian about his research and described the discoveries as a ‘drowned landscape.
