Alan Morrissey’s latest guest on In Profile is Joe Whelan.
Joe is known by those in Kilrush and further afield as the man behind Whelan’s Garage, the main dealers of tractors and farm machinery manufacturers, based in the South-West Clare town.
Joe set up his business all the way back in 1968, when it was located in the old Kilrush Railway Station.

He is also the man behind the Museum of Irish Rural Life on the Cooraclare Road in Kilrush and the Ferguson Museum, which is adjacent to the Museum of Irish Rural Life.
