19 Clare Schools Receive Book Rental Funding

19 schools in Clare are to receive funding for book rental schemes totalling just over 200,000 euro. 

The funding has been sourced through the sale of the National Lottery.

The department of Education has allocated 235,900 euro for book rental schemes here in Clare. 

The funding is for schools that don't currently operate the service.

The CBS in Ennis is to receive the largest portion of the Money with 64,600 announced here, Clonlara National School is next on 34,000 and Knockanean is to receive just under 28 thousand. 

Other schools to benefit are St. Mary's in Lahinch, Meelick, Ruan, Kilkishen, Inchicronan, Raheen Wood Steiner School Tuamgraney, Moveen, Mountshannon, Ballyvaughan, Colm Cille Ennistymon, Ballycar,
Lissycasey, Kilbaha, Bodyke, Querrin and Fanore. 

The schools in receipt of funding collectively have 2,359 children enrolled.
