A Clare Government TD says a report into childcare costs which calls for a radical overhaul of parental leave will be given full consideration.
The report, published last evening, has put forward a number of options to enhance affordability for parents and improve the quality of services for children.

Recommendations include an extension to paid parental leave to one year with parents being able to split the second six months between them.
Not all of the recommendations will be implemented, but Fine Gael TD Joe Carey believes a radical overhaul of the childcare system is badly needed.
