Clare Teacher Calls For New Leaving Cert Subjects To Be Urgently Revised

A Clare teachers representative says the revision process of new and revised Leaving Certificate subjects are vital.

The Association of Secondary Teachers Ireland has written to the Minister for Education Norma Foley requesting she defers the introduction of 3 revised Leaving Cert Subjects until September 2026.

The new and revised subjects in question are Biology, Chemistry and Physics, and are currently set to be introduced in September 2025.

Clare ASTI spokesperson and Science teacher at St.Flannan’s College Ennis John Conneely says it is crucial that the process of revising subjects is done correctly.
