A new report suggests that there has been a rebound in Clare's construction sector this year.
The National Housing Construction Index, compiled by Link2Plans, shows that 170 building projects commenced in the first half of the year.

This is a 53% increase from last year's figure of 111, though the hike is less than the national average.
The number of planning applications this year increased by 12% to 149 – Clare is one of 14 counties which registered an increase in this area.
