An Bord Pleanala has been asked to review the decision of Clare County Councillors to veto plans for a crematorium and graveyard on the outskirts of Ennis.
The project was to be developed by Fenloe Properties, but Councillors rejected it when opting not to re-zone the site in question at a meeting in July.

The company, however, has now lodged plans with the planning appeals authority who are expected to make a decision by the end of the year.
It was planned that a crematorium, large cemetery and other associated works be carried out at Ballaghfadda on the Kildysart Road near Clarecastle.
