Further Decrease In Adults Accessing Emergency Accommodation In Clare

The number of adults accessing emergency accommodation in Clare has continued to decrease throughout 2024.

The Department of Housing’s May Homelessness Report shows the number of people accessing emergency accommodation in the county has dropped to 74, a decrease of five from April figure.

It was the fourth consecutive month to see a decrease since the start of 2024, however it represents an increase of 8 people on the same time last year.

The report also notes 178 children across the Midwest in emergency accommodation, a figure which represents an increase of 9 from last month and of 33 from the 2023 total.
