The Dáil has heard that every effort is being made to restore day care facilities at centres in East and West Clare as soon as is possible.
The DayCare centres at Raheen Hospital in Tuamgraney and at Regina House in Kilrush are closed this week, and will be closed "for a couple of weeks", due to a shortage in nursing staff.

Around 200 people a week attend the facilities, but news that the facilities were closing this week only came on Friday afternoon.
The issue was debated in the Dáil last night, where Junior Health Minister Kathleen Lynch said the reason for this late decision was because every effort was being made to secure nursing staff.
