The burst has occured on the supply coming out of Sixmilebridge to Kilmurray, near Sooreeny Cross, with services in Kilmurray,  Quin, Kilkishen, O’Callaghans Mills, Tulla and ten group schemes affected.

Traffic disruption is also to be expected – Drivers coming from Kilmurray will be diverted onto the Mart Road from Kilmurry to Sixmilebridge. While those travelling from Sixmilebridge to Kilmurry will be diverted at Sooreeny Cross.

Heavy Goods Vehicles coming from and into Sixmilebridge will be diverted via Cratloe and, or Shannon.

As a result of this burst, water tankers will be in place at Kilmurry National School and outside the church in Quin from 2:00 to 4:00 this afternoon.
