Concern That Brexit Is Leading To Drop In Mainland Europe Visitors To Clare

A Shannon hotelier says Brexit is having a worrying knock-on impact on the sector, leading them to lose customers from mainland Europe.

A survey carried out by the Irish Hotels Federation has found that a massive three quarters of hotels are noting a drop in British visitors, while around a third have also seen drops from the large markets of France and Germany.

However, there’s been a close to 40% increase in the numbers coming from North America.
