Two sailors were rescued overnight after their yacht ran aground off the Clare coast.
The Kilrush RNLI lifeboat was launched just after midnight following reports that a 36ft yacht with two people on board had run aground near the entrance to Kilrush Marina.

The lifeboat reached the scene quickly and located the grounded boat.
The unharmed crew was evacuated from the vessel and taken back to the RNLI base at Cappagh.
The lifeboat returned to the yacht at 4am and found it had refloated with the incoming tide
The yacht later made it’s way safely into the marina at Kilrush.
