The region’s main hospital remains by far the busiest in the country as the week begins.

The INMO’s latest trolleywatch statistics show there were 105 admitted patients waiting for beds at University Hospital Limerick this morning, 46 of those in the Emergency Department.

The overall figure is 40 more than the next busiest facility and comes on a day when 524 patients were left waiting on trolleys at hospitals across the country.
