71 Dead Following Bomb Near Syrian Capital

In Syria, at least 71 people have died in blasts near a key shrine close to the capital Damascus.

A bus station and a building housing military headquarters, were hit by the blasts.

It happened as the government and opposition groups gathered in Geneva in a bid to start talks aimed at finding a political solution to the conflict.

The EU believes that the attack, claimed by Islamic State, was aimed at disrupting the talks.
