The Late Train
Brian Flynn presents the Late Train on Clare FM from Monday to Thursday 9pm till midnight.
The show is unique in it’s choice of music, which can range from Elvis Presley to PJ Murrihy and in the occasional chats with luminaries such as Paddy Pyne and Caitriona Lowery. Brian also tests the listeners with lots of quizzes, riddles and brain teasers. Future plans for the show include a series profiling famous Clare family names and also chats with the people in daycare centers across the county. There is a wonderful atmosphere and in the two years that the Train has been rolling Brian has built up a very special relationship with the listeners whom he always refers to as “passengers”. You can climb aboard the Late Train just after the nine o clock news Monday – Thursday.
Brian, who is originally from Athlone, joined RTE television in 1988 having spent the previous 10 years working in TV in Germany. For the next 15 years he worked in TV production there, one of his last big projects being one of the directors on the special Olympics in Dublin.

Among the programmes he has presented are Saturday Night Special, In with Flynn, The Drivetime Show, Livewire, Summer Focus, The breakfast show and Country Corner as well as several specials, including the Muhammad Ali visit to Ennis, the Tony Griffin cycle and the opening of the new wing in Cahercalla Hospice.
