Fermanagh goaled inside the opening ten minutes when Sean Quiqley fisted to Joe Hayes net, but the Clare repsonse was immediate, and led by captain Gary Brennan and Shane McGrath, they led by two at the break.

That purple patch after half time opened a gap that wouldn't be closed, even though the Northern men hit 1-4 unanswered in the closing stages, Quigley with his second goal from the penalty spot.

Man of the match Gary Brennan finished with 0-5, four of those from frees, Shane McGrath contributed 0-4 from play, with Pat Burke helping himself to 1-3

Elsewhere in Division Three, Limerick relegated Louth, beating them by 2-13 to 2-11.

Wexford also drop down despite beating Tipperary 2-15 to 2-12, while Sligo ensured their survival after beating Armagh 1-19 to 1-8.

Armagh and Fermanagh will contest the Division Three Final, with both also being promoted.
