Dunbar retains International Junior Cycle Tour title

Cork man Eddie Dunbar created history as he became the first cyclist to retain the International Junior Tour of Ireland title.

He was crowned champion yestrday following the final stage of 10 circuits around Ennis, and was once more involved in the leading pack.

 

The race, which was hosted in Clare, saw riders compete in six stages around the county, taking in most of the north and east of the county.

 

Wednesday's second stage took competitors to North Clare via the Cliffs of Moher, and Dunbar says this was a crucial day for him.
