The Killaloe man will take charge of the province for his first competitive game in September, as the newly rebranded Guiness Pro12 season gets underway.

Elsewhere, Connacht welcome Newport Gwent Dragons to the SportsGrounds, Leinster travel to take on Glasgow Warriors and Ulster make the journey to Wales to take on the Scarlets.

With the redevelopment of Musgrave Park now underway, all Munsters pre-Christmas fixtures will be played at Thomond Park, while four PRO12 games for the refurbished Cork venue will be scheduled for the New Year.

The opening round of games will be played on the weekend of September 5th.
