Clare’s Ryan Taylor is believed to be nearing a return to full fitness ahead of Saturday’s All Ireland hurling quarter-final showdown with Wexford.

The Clooney-Quin man hasn’t featured since suffering a serious knee injury in last years defeat to Kilkenny in Croke Park, but is understood to have returned to full training in recent weeks.

It remains to be seen if he is ready to be included in the matchday squad for Saturday’s game in Thurles, with Clare looking to recover from their Munster final defeat to Limerick.
