A ‘Boil Water Notice’ has been issued for almost 2,000 customers in East Clare.
Following consultation with the HSE, Uisce Éireann and Clare County Council have issued the notice which means all 1,788 customers supplied by the Killaloe Public Water Supply must boil their water and allow it to cool before drinking.

The advice comes after “operational issues which have impacted chlorination” and Uisce Éireann has said that they and Clare County Council are “working, in consultation with the HSE, to lift the notice as quickly and as safely as possible”.
