The summer is over but it is still surfing season in West Clare.
Six members of the West Clare Surf Club have qualified for the Junior World Surfing Championships in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil this November.

Katie Lodge, Odin Villarreal, James Cloney, Sadie Shalloo, Maria Butler and Conor Moroney are the Clare surfers representing Ireland in South America.
Chairman and coach at West Coast Surf Club, Ollie O’Flaherty, says the surfers need to practise for Brazil’s tough beach conditions.
