Shay to be Given all the time he needs to recuperate for Euro 2016

Ireland manager Martin O'Neill says he'll give Shay Given as much time as possible to prove his fitness for Euro2016.

The Stoke goalkeeper hasn't played since going off injured against Germany and has since flown to Qatar for surgery in an attempt to correct his knee problem.

His club manager Mark Hughes says that they're optimistic that the 39-year-old will return to action before the end of the current campaign…

Meanwhile, there's been a major shake-up in the way that Irish fans can watch this summer's championships.

RTÉ and TV3 have struck a deal to share the broadcast rights for the tournament with both stations set to screen this summer's final in Paris.

RTÉ will retain all of Ireland's group matches but TV3 have secured the exclusive rights to a total of 21 games

Also in football, the second-leg of the Europa League last-16 tie between Man United and Liverpool has been moved to a later kick-off time.

UEFA has agreed to switch the start-time at Old Trafford to a 8.05pm kick-off on March 17th following a request from the local council.
