Vigil To Take Place At UHL Today For Victims Of Overcrowding

A Candlelit Vigil will take place at University Hospital Limerick this afternoon for victims of the overcrowding crisis.

The event, organised by the MidWest Hospital Campaign, will take place at the gates of the Dooradoyle facility at 2pm.

Up to August this year , 3,200 patients left the Dooradoyle facility without completing their full episodes of care due to extensive delays.

Ballyvaughan based MidWest Hospital Campaign Spokesperson Noeleen Moran says they will not give up their fight until the Emergency Departments closed in 2009 at Ennis, Nenagh and St.Johns are reopened.
