Clare football captain Gary Brennan has narrowly missed out on the GAA Player of the Month award for July.
The Clondegad man's inspiring performances in the Banner's run to the All Ireland Quarter Final had earned him a nomination for the award.
However, he's lost out Tipperary's Michael Quinlivan, who's been key in propelling his side to a Semi-Final meeting with Mayo.
