Killaloe Councillor Has Expressed Deep Disappointment About Deferral Of Shannon River Crossing Project

A Killaloe-area Councillor has expressed deep disappointment after a decision on whether to allow the Shannon River Crossing Project to go ahead was deferred for sixth time.

A decision had been expected yesterday but no ruling was issued by the court and no date was issued on when this could occur.

42 million euro in funding has been granted under the Government's Capital Investment Plan for the project, which includes the Killaloe bypass and upgrading works on the road linking Ballina and Birdhill.
