Clare County Council is being called on to introduce more parking spaces in Ennis for the disabled.
Councillor Anne Norton says there's increased frustration over spaces being blocked by stall holders, particularly on Saturdays, leaving those with disabilities with few options when trying to carry out their business in town.
A rejuvenation project is currently underway in the area and the Barefield representative, who is raising the issue at today's Ennis Municipal District meeting, hopes the local authority will use it as an opportunity to improve parking facilities there.
Councillor Norton believes people are being discouraged from travelling into Ennis town centre on account of the issue.
