Clare Fine Gael TD Pat Breen has granted a Junior Ministry by Taoiseach Enda Kenny.
Deputy Breen has been appointed as a Junior Minster at the Department of Jobs.
He will assume the role of Minister of State for Employment and Small Business.
It's the first time a TD from Clare has been appointed to a Junior Ministerial role in over a decade
