A Dublin sailor has today resumed his round-Ireland voyage after suffering a set back off the coast of Clare yesterday.
Gary ‘Ted’ Sargent, set off from Schull in Cork last week in an effort to 100,000 euro for charity however, this efforts to get to Doonbeg were hampered after one of his support boats broke down.
Kilrush RNLI was dispatched to the scene and two people were rescued from the boat at Kilbaha Bay.
Gary resumed his trip at 6am and has now reached Doonbeg
