Clare Consultant Psychiatrist Says Drink Culture Amoung Children As Young As 11

A Clare Consultant Psychiatrist insists that alcohol abuse has become prevalent in childen as young as 11 years of age.

A new report has revealed that one person in Ireland suffers an alcohol-related assault every three minutes and eight seconds, amounting to nearly 170,000 over the course of a year.

The Health Research Borad has also found that three people a day, die because of alcohol and that Irish people consume on average the equivalent of 46 bottles of vodka or 500 pints of beer.

Consultant Psychatrist and former Clare TD Dr. Moosajhee Bhamjee believes there's now a need to educate children in primary school about the affects and dangers of alcohol.
