A new study has shown that a single person needs to earn nearly 39,000 euro a year to be able to buy a home in Clare.
The Irish Sun has published an affordability index using data from Daft.ie
It found that single people here need to be earning over 2,000 more than the average wage, a figure which rises to 96,500 euro in South County Dublin.
While Clare is one of the more affordable counties in Ireland, there are still 11 others where the average home can be purchased with a lower wage.
