Consultants have been appointed for the design and delivery of the proposed Shannon Town Park Project.
The 910,000 euro project will see the existing town park woodland and the adjacent Rineanna Park being enhanced into a flagship Town Park.
A full design team, led by a Landscape Architect and Urban Designer, have been appointed to progress the design and planning phases of the project and contractors are expected to be on site in mid-2017.
Shannon Councillor Gerry Flynn is welcoming the move.
