Central Bank Issues Economic Warning

The Central Bank says the persistent strains in financial markets are limiting Ireland’s prospects for economic recovery.

In its latest Quarterly Bulletin – the bank is slightly revising upwards its growth forecast for this year to zero point seven per cent – compared to one point four per cent in 2011.

However its projection of economic growth of one point nine per cent in 2013 – is lower than its previous prediction for next year of two point one per cent.
