First brought to stage in 1977, the story of Annie centres on a brave and cheery 11-year old orphan girl.  She and her peers in the Municipal Orphanage are subjected to horrific abuse in the institution, but Annie’s bravery, ingenuity and optimism ensure that this is a story with a very happy ending.   Set in early 1930s America, the musical is best known for lively numbers such as Tomorrow, It’s a Hard Knock Life and You’re Never Fully Dressed Without a Smile.
