Cardinals from around the world will start the process later to decide who should become the next Pope.

Representatives from 48 countries will begin their discussions shut away in the Vatican this afternoon at 3.30, before casting a vote in the Sistine chapel.
Although no result this evening, a number of cardinals have emerged as frontrunners to succeed Pope Benedict including the Archbishop of Milan and Irish American Archbishop of Boston Cardinal Sean Patrick O’Malley.
