On today's Morning Focus with John Cooke the issue regarding Blake's Corner Ennistymon was discussed. We spoke with Sheena Clancy – Owner West Clare Flowers Ennistymon and Senator Martin Conway about how the residents in the town say they're angry at plans by Clare County Council to demolish three homes and build a new Inner Relief Road and bridge in a bid to protect the infamous bottle neck.  A public meeting was held on Friday night last at the Falls hotel. Our Reporter Cian Kearns was there for Morning Focus.

Deputies Michael Mc Namara and Timmy Dooley also joined John to discuss the developments on the future of Aer Lingus which are expected in the coming days. It follows weekend reports that IAG had made a third takeover bid, worth 1.3 billion euro. The Transport Minister Paschal Donohoe will brief the cabinet at tomorrow's weekly meeting, while the Aer Lingus board is also expected to respond formally to the offer.

Garda Niamh Browne of Ennis Garda Station joined us to discuss a spate of recent burglaries on our weekly Garda Focus feature.

Gerard Holloway is a resisdent of Gort Na hAbhana. The residents live in an unfinished estate and as a result the council will not take it over. There was a danger that the public lighting would be turned off as a result. The developers and the County Council met on Friday last and it's reported that a verbal understanding was reached to finish the works. There was no progress in relation to the public lighting and the residents have decided to pay for the lighting themselves. Gerard joined John to discuss how they hope this will only be for a few months while the estate works are completed.

We also heard from the new Church of Ireland Bishop of Limerick and Killaloe who was ordained at the weekend. A native of Dublin, Dr Kearon has worked as a Canon of Christ Church Cathedral in Dublin and is looking forward to arriving in the Diocese of Limerick and Killaloe and in helping to shape the future of the Church of Ireland here.
