There were no major surprises in today’s action in the All-Ireland Hurling and Football Championships.

In Leinster hurling Galway ran away with a 14 point win over a poor Dublin side in Tullamore to book a semi-final meeting with Offaly.

Goals either side of half-time by Jason Flynn and Conor Cooney gave them a 2-28 to 1-17 victory, with the Dubs moving on to the qualifiers.

Davy Fitzgerald’s Wexford were similarly comfortable winners away to Laois by 3-25 to 1-17 to qualify for a last four clash with Kilkenny.

The goals came from Harry Kehoe, Aidan Nolan and Jack Guiney

In football Tyrone defeated Derry by 0-22 to 0-11 to book an enticing Ulster semi-final meeting with Donegal next month.

In Connacht three goals for Leitrim proved to be the difference as they beat London in Ruislip by 3-10 to 0-16.
